Privacy policy
Effective October 22, 2026
- We keep what the service needs: your account, your subscription status, and your watches, follows and questions.
- We don't sell your information, show ads or use tracking cookies.
- Ask us to delete your account and its data anytime.
1. What we collect
- Your account. Your name, email address and password, stored only as a secure hash. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name and email address and an account ID.
- Your subscription. Stripe tells us your customer ID, whether your subscription is active and when it renews. Stripe handles your card; we never see the full number.
- What you do in the app. Your watches, the areas you draw, the items you follow, and your questions and their answers.
- Technical details. Our servers log requests, including IP addresses, to keep the service secure and fix problems.
2. How we use it
To run the service: signing you in, billing, finding matches for your watches, answering your questions, and sending the email you need, such as confirming your address, password resets, the alerts you set up and billing notices. We also use it to keep the service secure and to answer you when you write to us.
3. Who else handles it
Companies that run parts of the service for us, under their own privacy and security commitments:
- Stripe for payments.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Cloudflare, whose AI models read the records, your watches and your questions.
- Our hosting and email providers, which store the service's data and deliver our email.
- OpenFreeMap for the map's background, and Google Fonts for the site's typefaces. Your browser loads these directly, so those companies see your IP address.
We share information beyond this only when the law requires it.
4. Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in and protects forms from forgery. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
5. How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete its data; copies in our backups expire within 30 days. Stripe keeps billing records as the law requires.
6. Your choices
- Turn alert emails on or off under Account, or stop them from the link in any alert.
- Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account by writing to support@baldwincountywatch.com.
7. People named in the public records
The records name applicants, owners and others. We show names as they appear in the official record and leave out mailing addresses. To ask for a correction or removal, write to support@baldwincountywatch.com.
8. Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a material way, we'll post a notice in the app before it takes effect and update the date above. Questions go to support@baldwincountywatch.com.
