Terms of service
Effective October 22, 2026
- Baldwin Watch organizes public records about Baldwin County. We aren't part of Baldwin County or any city, and none of them endorse us.
- The official record is the final word. Our summaries, map locations, matches and answers can be wrong, so check the record before you rely on anything.
- Nothing here is legal, engineering or investment advice.
- $299 a month plus any sales tax. Cancel anytime from your account.
1. These terms
These terms cover the Baldwin Watch website and service ("Baldwin Watch", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use Baldwin Watch for a company, you agree for that company as well.
2. The records
The service is built from public records: the Baldwin County Commission's agenda items, memos, staff reports, motions and roll-call votes; the County's Planning & Zoning Commission and Boards of Adjustment; the City of Foley; construction stormwater permits; and FEMA flood maps. Every item links to its official record.
We aren't affiliated with Baldwin County, its cities or any agency, and nothing in Baldwin Watch speaks for them. Documents prepared by applicants or their consultants, such as site plans, studies and surveys, belong to their authors. We show facts drawn from them and link to the originals rather than republishing them.
3. Accuracy
We use software, including AI models, to read the records. That software:
- pulls out facts such as acreage, zoning, location and outcome;
- places items on the map;
- decides which items match your watches;
- answers your questions.
Any of this can be wrong or incomplete:
- A fact can be misread.
- A location can be approximate.
- An item can be missed, or matched when it shouldn't be.
- The records only run to the date shown.
Whenever the official record differs from what you see here, the official record controls. Confirm what matters to you before you act on it. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we'll fix it.
4. Not advice
Baldwin Watch is for information only. It isn't legal, engineering, surveying, appraisal, investment or other professional advice, and using it doesn't create a professional relationship with anyone.
5. Your account
You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google. Give accurate details and keep your sign-in to yourself: a subscription is for one person. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
6. Subscription and billing
- Billing. Stripe bills the subscription monthly, in advance, at the price shown at checkout plus sales tax where it applies.
- Renewal. It renews each month until you cancel.
- Cancelling. Cancel anytime from Account → Manage billing. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds. We don't refund partial months unless the law requires it.
- Price changes. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice. A new price takes effect from your next renewal.
7. Fair use
Please don't:
- copy, resell or redistribute the service's data in bulk, or use it to build a competing product;
- scrape, crawl or overload the service, or try to get around its access controls;
- use information about people named in the records to harass, threaten, discriminate against or profile them;
- use the service for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
8. People named in the records
Public records name applicants, property owners and others. We show names as they appear in the official record, and we leave out mailing addresses. If you're named and want something corrected or removed, or you hold rights in a document we draw on, write to support@baldwincountywatch.com and we'll respond promptly.
9. Your information
Our privacy policy says what we collect, why, and who handles it. In short: we keep what the service needs, Stripe handles payments, and we don't sell your personal information.
10. Changes
We may change the service or these terms. Before a material change takes effect, we'll post a notice in the app at least 14 days ahead and update the date above. If you keep using Baldwin Watch after that, you accept the change. You can stop anytime by cancelling. If we shut the service down, we'll refund the unused part of your current month.
11. No warranty, and limits on liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the extent the law allows:
- we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, deals or opportunities;
- our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
